Teeth whitening is a successful and simple method of lightening the colour of your teeth. The degree of whiteness achieved will vary from patient to patient and with the type of bleaching process chosen.
What is Teeth Whitening?
For Teeth Whitening Northern Ireland in general and at our Bangor Dental Clinic has become very popular recently. Whitening is a process where the tooth discolouration is ‘whitened’ to a lighter shade. It removes the staining agent through chemical means. It is a safe procedure when carried out under professional supervision. Treatment results usually depend on the severity of the discolouration.
Both vital (i.e. live) and non-vital teeth (e.g. tooth with root removed) can be bleached and may take several visits to complete. It is not effective on dental restorations such as amalgam fillings, metal or porcelain crowns, etc.
A custom made mouth tray is created. A whitening gel is placed in the tray which you then wear whilst asleep or for short periods during the day.
Results are normally seen over 2 weeks.
Our tooth whitening offer includes custom made trays & 6 tubes of whitening gel.
